General speaking, LED flood light is usually made up of housing, reflector and yoke.

LED floodlights have lampshades. It is a plastic or metal container that prevents light from splashing in unwanted directions and acts as the main body of the instrument. It includes the entire exterior in addition to the opening or lens. The enclosure design has certain elements that help reduce heat and improve LED efficiency. The reflector affects the directivity and mass of the light output. It is located around or behind the light source in order to direct more light to the opening or lens. Each flood light unit has a reflector (or lack of the same lens) that works with the lens to produce the desired effect. LED floodlights use two main types of reflectors. The parabolic reflector has a light at the focus of the parabolic reflector. It reflects light back from the reflector with a parallel beam. Light cannot focus because there is no point at which light converges. While elliptical reflectors are mainly used for tight points that can be focused, they can also be used for floodlights.

A U-yoke is used to support or suspend most floodlights. It is usually placed at two points on the side of the lamp housing, forming a rotating shaft. The base of the yoke is essentially a single bolt in which the yoke can be rotated and it also provides a second axis of rotation. When combined, they allow the fixture to point in any direction within the spherical range of motion surrounding the yoke. The yoke in an LED floodlight is connected to a strip or pipe by a clamp. It can also be attached to a set or fixed to a floor bracket, depending on how and where it is used. Some of the yokes are electric, which means they can change the direction of the light fixture by using a remote control system.
